Never thought I’d somehow make a @sydneymardigras gig into a FIFO situation but here we are!! Thank you to the brilliant organisers for having me and making sure I made my quick departure- you rock and certainly made me feel like a rockstar too!!

A wedding in Adelaide, Victoria pride and a goon sack bra walk into a bar… and get a new tattoo!

The last 5 days have been nothing short of amazing!

Huge congrats to @marco_callisto & @emma.cayley on a fabulous wedding and thank you for trusting me as your camp MC!

Then straight to Victoria Pride seeing so so many babes, and featuring an amazing 15 min portrait by @roxyrawhide followed by a very wine infused night of hosting with the fabulous @rubyslippers at @the86bar !

The fabulous @frockhudson said that’s what they wanted to focus on for this @midsummafestival and it’s really stuck with me.

Getting to share joy and be fabulous with my community is just what the soul needed this week amongst all the horrific alt right rumblings from the US.

They can keep trying to silence us, or take away our healthcare options, or try to rewrite history, or troll our accounts - but they will never take away the pure Queer Joy that is associated with being apart of this community.

Here’s a collection of two places I found queer joy last week, at Frock Melodic Monday (on a Tuesday) and at Pride March on Sunday shared with some of my nearest and dearest. Just try to wipe the joy off my face 😊

It’s Melbourne Pride this Sunday on Smith Street (I’ll be at Grouse & @the86bar) - no matter how you identify come and squeeze some queer joy out for yourself and let’s show these haters they’ll never win 😘

Christmas on tour fully in Scotland! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I’ve been SUPER sick ( like wow horrendous ) for the week leading up to Christmas. And so have my roomies Tug and Henny too! This was probably in the top 3 ever in my life. With a swag of pills and potions, we somehow made it through an 8 show week, and it then into Christmas… which for those who know me… know I am a bit of a grinch at the best of times and have a rough emotional relationship with this time of year. So as you can imagine being sick, away from home and leading up to Christmas … it’s been a slog!

But somehow, the gang pulled it together, the bubbles were flowing, the vitamins were fighting and we celebrated in style at the @whotels with a gorgeous rooftop overlooking the stunning Edinburgh! Was just what the doctor ordered 🥂💋

This time of year is always very different for everyone and though most depict joy and gratitude- it’s always a reminder to me that we never really know what’s going on with people’s lives day to day. I feel like I’m coming out of not only a sickness haze but also an emotional one.

Anyway… here’s a photo of me finally coming out of the sickness and letting my hair fly in the wind. Hopefully it’s a sign of the vibes to come ✨✨✨

Everything is fine at home …
Officially halfway through my No Gig November ✌🏻

Only two more weeks before myself and the cast of @swamplesque head off to the maddness that is Edinburgh again!!

But in true ADHD style you can never keep me put for long as I’ve been busy cooking up some new promo photos and getting ready to announce some things for next year. 💥

So I’ve just found out today is #NationalHappyHourDay and to celebrate I thought it was the perfect time to share some fabulous pics from @chrisallenphotography !!! Thank you Chris we love them so much 🥰

These were taken on our final weekend of shows for our @regionalartsvic tour at @geelongartscentre !! Bringing this delightfully silly, queer cheer filled show to regional centres all over VIC has been an absolute joy!!!

It’s been a dream come true from writing this show in the deep depths of COVID lockdowns to performing this show all over the country over 50 times in total. (Yes that’s at least 50 cat raps & sleeping bag moments 😂)

🥂I couldn’t have done this tour without my amazing team 🥂

To my son @yourmatetaco (& Terry) for always bringing the greatest vibes on and off the stage and for never once smigglin’ it! To my MD, talented maestro and all round legend @thepeppysmears for helping sail this delightfully silly show through every twist and turn while always supporting me 1000%. And of course to our BLT ( bossy little twink ) @matquom for taking a leap as coproducer/ stage manager / tour coordinator / wine wrangler - you’ve stepped into so many roles and nailed them all and I couldn’t have done it without you!

Plus huge shout out to the RAV team in particular Bindi and @luthwolff who lead us through this incredible process and held our hands when we needed it every step of the way 😍

And last but not least…..Thank you to all our audiences and workshop attendees - we hope you had just as much of an incredible time as we did!!!

And for those of you who missed out …
Don’t worry though there are some plans for Happy Hour making a return to some stages again next year 💋💋💋
